Editura Vremea a luat fiinta in anul 1990. Este una dintre primele edituri particulare din Romania.
In anii care au trecut de atunci, editura a reusit sa-si defineasca personalitatea, impunandu-se in lumea cartii ca o prezenta distincta, perena.
Pornita de la zero, editura Vremea publica acum un numar de aproximativ 50 de titluri pe an. Cresterea ei, fara salturi spectaculoase, dar temeinica si constanta, se sprijina pe tezaurul de munca atenta a catorva impatimiti ai cartii, care lucreaza in editura inca de la infiintarea ei.
De-a lungul anilor, ei au fost rasplatiti de pretuirea pe care marele public si cercetatorii de specialitate au acordat-o colectiilor editurii.
Vremea a fost prima editura din Romania care a publicat documente inedite, legate de istoria noastra recenta. Inca de la primele aparitii, colectia FID - Fapte, Idei Documente a trezit numeroase ecouri, fiind apreciata sau denigrata cu egala vehementa, semn sigur al valorii demersului editorial concretizat prin volumele ce poarta aceasta sigla.
Printre colectiile cele mai cunoscute ale editurii se numara Arte, Planeta Bucuresti, In jurul lumii, Rosu si Negru, Autori romani, Autori straini, Mari autori, Teatru, Poesis, Zodiac. Fie ca sunt destinate copiilor, tinerilor sau maturilor, noi, cei de la Vremea, ne straduim sa publicam carti interesante, editate cu ingrijire, tiparite cum se cuvine.
Ne gandim la carte ca la o oglinda in care se pastreaza, nestearsa, imaginea tuturor celor care au contribuit la aparitia ei; de aceea, avem grija ca in cartile noastre sa se reflecte chipurile unor oameni de valoare, autori, traducatori, redactori, tehnoredactori, tipografi.
Speram ca, in continuare, cititorii sa pretuiasca stradania noastra. Suntem incredintati ca bucuria de a tine o carte in mana nu va pieri niciodata.
Cat despre noi, suntem hotarati sa dainuim.
About us
Vremea Press was founded in 1990, as one of the first private publishers in Romania. In its years of existence, the press has acquired a distinctive and durable profile in the world of books. Starting from zero, Vremea Press publishes now approximately 50 titles per year. Its growth, continual and steady, rests on the conscientious labor of a few impassioned book-lovers, who have worked together since our beginnings. As time has passed, our efforts have been rewarded by the appreciation our collections have earned from both researchers and the larger public.
Vremea was the first Romanian press to bring out hitherto-unpublished documents tied to recent history. From its earliest offerings, the collection FID - Facts, Ideas, Documents won wide notice, being praised and denigrated with equal vehemence, a sure sign of the value of the editorial initiative behind these volumes.
Among the press’s best known collections are Arts, Bucharest Planet, Around the World, Red and Black, Romanian Authors, Foreign Authors, Great Authors, Theatre, Poesis, Zodiac. Whether our books are aimed at children, young people, or adults, we at Vremea Press strive to publish what is interesting, edited with care and printed with high quality.
We think of a book as a mirror in which is preserved undiminished the image of all those who have contributed to making it. Therefore, we take care that our books reflect the likeness of people of value, authors, translators, editors, technical staff, and printers.

Qui sommes-nous?
Les éditions Vremea ont été fondées en 1990, comme une des premières maisons d'éditions privates de Roumanie. Depuis, on a publié des documents sur l'histoire recente jusque la inconus au grand public.
Nos plus connues collections sont: FID - Fais, Idées, Documents (histoire recente, essays politiques, biographies, mémoires, sociologie, religion), Arte (ouvrages de l'histoire de l'art), La Planète Bucarest (histoire de Bucarest, histoires de Bucarestois), Autour du Monde (guides touristiques), Auteurs Roumains, Auteurs Etrangers, Grands Auteurs, Rouge et Noir (thrillers, romans policiers), Théatre, Poesis, Zodiac (psychologie populaire, vie pratique).
